Why a Spies Report?
In the thirteenth chapter of Numbers (Bemidbar), in the Torah, Yahueh told Moshe to “send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Yisrael. Send one from each tribe of their fathers…….” Bemidbar 13:1. We see from scripture that they went into the land and when they returned, they reported to Moshe and Aharon. Ten gave evil reports for they feared what they saw in the natural. Only Joshua and Kaleb saw the land as Yahueh intended and trusted in HIS words. October 19, 2003 ten people left Portland International Airport for Eretz Israel (the land of Canaan) to spy out the land, check the “fruit” and see if there really are still giants in the land. With many people, around the world, coming to the realization that they are indeed a part of Israel (Northern Kingdom/Ephraim) and contemplating their return home, we felt led in our spirits to relive this mission and set things right.
When we began planning, there were over 20 people who wanted to take part. However, through the months that lay ahead, due to various reasons, the number pared down to just 10. Yahueh spoke several words to individuals within our group regarding specific things that were to be done. These are addressed in the individual reports below.
Most of the reports are now in and Hear O’ Israel would like to present each spy’s report in their own words as their testimony. Those remaining to come in will be added to this page as we receive them. We wish to acknowledge the hard work of our guide, Bruce Brill and coordinator, Wendy Sutherland.
